Mystical immersions…

“My heart is so small
it’s almost invisible.
How can You place
such big sorrows in it?
“Look,” He answered,
“your eyes are even smaller,
yet they behold the world.”
― Rumi

Broken in pieces,
on the dark side of the moon,
just a cacophony of irrepressible tunes…
My song is over
the crowds have gone home, shattered,
bludgeoned,
exposed to the bone… In crypts of longing,
I recounted my fears,
of sacred ceremonies
of sanguine tears… Basking in the resplendence of
Illuminating light,
bent forwards,
I surrendered to the night… Reconciling the struggle of my soul’s journey,
to mystical immersions,
of being set free…

Bloom where you are planted…

“Bloom where you are planted!”
-Saint Francis de Sales

cosmos

Flowers don’t grow
weary,
they rise up
with the sun
spending their days frolicking
hardly overcome!
And when the seasons change
they rest for a while,
till the next time
you see them
glowing undefiled…
They festoon
our gardens
in worshipful praise,
with carefree abandonment, brightening our days…
Blossoming
where they are planted,
an uncomplaining bunch,
basking
in the nourishment
of waterlogged mulch…

Shooting star…

“We all shine on…like the moon and the stars and the sun…we all shine on…come on and on and on…”
― john Lennon
love never dies
Your fragrance lingers, in an essence divine…
I keep your image
in my inmost shrine…
Your loveliness astounds me,
your presence unique, I feel you gently
brush on my cheek… In the glorious afterlife
you play amongst
the stars,
I glimpsed you in darkness
shooting past Mars…
An eternal reminder that love never dies,
though
I have yet
to behold you
with earthen eyes…
